- Finish: Polished (for a sleek, reflective look), Honed (for a softer, matte appearance), Flamed (for a rough, textured finish, especially for exteriors), or Brushed (for a subtle texture).
- Thickness: 2 cm to 3 cm for interior wall cladding. For exterior facades, 3 cm to 5 cm is often recommended for enhanced durability and secure anchoring, especially for large panels.
- ASTM: ASTM C615/C615M (Standard Specification for Granite Dimension Stone) for material characteristics. Flexural strength (EN 12372 or ASTM C880/C880M) and anchorage strength are critical for cladding systems.
- Maintenance: Low (requires periodic cleaning with mild detergents. Sealing is generally not as critical as for marble but can be applied for added protection, especially in exterior applications).
- Installed: $40-$150/sq ft (material and installation costs vary based on granite type, finish, thickness, complexity of installation, and anchoring system).
